Tye Leveled Readers are a collection of narrative and informational texts designed to capture a child’s interest. Each book is carefully designed to help students learn the concepts and strategies of learning to read. Books within any given series in the Tye Collection have a variety of formats to assist students in learning how to read different kinds of text.

In the lower levels, care is taken with choice of words, high frequency word use, sentence structure, format, and meaningful picture support. Each illustration or photo is created especially for the particular text.

In higher level texts, support is given but at a different level. Story structure changes gradually to a more classic form that deals with experiences students can relate to, while offering a range of concepts and new information.
